Senior Technical Manager – Oxfam Australia

The Disaster Preparedness Programme of ECHO (DIPECHO) funded project will be implemented in Sri Lanka, through a consortia of agencies formed by Handicap International (HI), Save the Children International, OXFAM and ACTED, aims to support the government to replicate the CBDRM (Community Based Disaster Risk Management) and SBDRM (School Based Disaster Risk management) model in the country, ensuring the inclusion of vulnerable groups in all phases. The replication of the inclusive model by Ministry of Disaster Management (MDM) and Ministry of Education (MoE) at national and local level in Mullaithivu and Kilinochchi districts with the technical support from the project. The project will be implemented for 18 months starting from February 2015.

Contract – National, Fixed term

Key skills and competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related qualification from a recognized institute
At least 4-5 years’ experience for bachelors or higher degree holders and 7-8 years for others
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the education sector related DRM and working relationships with the MoE, MDM will be added advantages.
