Dilmah Tea created Resplendent Ceylon to form a portfolio of boutique luxury hotels across Sri Lanka that offers the luxury traveller a range of authentic cultural experiences while contributing towards local communities and the environment through the MJF Foundation.
Cape Weligama, a luxe cliffside retreat, sits on a stunning Indian Ocean headland near Galle, where 39 private residences and villas have been designed by renowned Thai architect Lek Bunnag. Each of the spacious villas is surrounded by a flower-filled garden, 15m infinity edge pool and attended to by a private butler.

The Role
The applicant should ensure that established policies and procedures are adhered to and that minimum levels of hygiene standards are constantly maintained. The ideal candidate should maintain the cleanliness and hygiene levels of all food and beverage areas including kitchens, restaurants, storage areas and any other equipment areas that come into contact during the preparation, storage or service of food and beverage items. Also facilitation of the kitchen and food and beverage departments operation by ensuring that an adequate supply of operating equipment is available for preparation and service of food items. The ideal candidate should conduct regular operating equipment inventories and produces reports with recommendations. Training all team members in stewarding department to ensure a high-level of consistent service is maintained and monitoring & improving performances of stewarding members to ensure the smooth operation of the department & the resort.

Your Profile
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity preferably in a star class hotel. Computer literacy (MS Office packages) with excellent communication skills. Good written and oral proficiency in English and Sinhala.
