Site Reliability Engineer / Lead DevOps Engineer – aeturnum

Job Responsibilities
S Work with teams to implement highly available and scalable architectures for PaaS/SaaS products that are operationally mature.
S Provide leadership to teams to gain and maintain operational maturity.
S Provide leadership to teams by identifying risks and helping the teams prioritize the mitigation of risk. S Implement service level objectives and monitoring dashboards that measure the success of the service. S Provide guidance to implement a 24/7 on-call incident response process and conducting root cause analysis on incidents.
S Provide guidance to implement change management and capacity planning processes. S Provide guidance to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
S Identify and reduce time spent on routine tasks by documenting them and automating them when possible. S Contribute as part of a Scrum team to maintain a deep understanding of system functionality and architecture, with primary focus to operational aspects of the service (availability, performance, change management, emergency response, capacity planning, etc)

Education & Experience Required
S Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any other related degree.
S 5-6 years of industry experience in Software Engineering/DevOps.
S 1-2 years of experience in leading teams.
S Good communication skills, both written and verbal
S Experience working with one or more of: Ruby, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Go, Python
S Experience with Unix/Linux systems administration using the CLI.
S Fundamental understanding of TCP/UDP networking concepts
S Solid oral and written communications skills.- repeated
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)
S Experience building systems on cloud technology (AWS, GCE, Rackspace, Openstack)
S Understanding of Software Development Life Cycles, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
S Experience in gathering/analysing of application/host performance metrics.
