PRIMARY JOB ROLE
Develop DB2 stored procedures, T-SQL stored procedures, views, and queries; set up and manage schedule report subscriptions; troubleshoot and tune business report issues.
Work with Clients, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Application Developers, and Solution Architects in analysing business requirements and specifications to define, implement, customize and support SSRS reports.
Design, develop, test, tune, and implement SSRS reports, SQL queries, and stored procedures. This includes, but not limited to SSIS packages, views, and functions.
Research and resolve production related SSRS report issues.
Responsible for the analysis, design, documentation, development, unit testing, and support of report development for ERP related business requirements.
SQL database administration and tuning report related servers.
Following query development standards and adhering to the applicable development methodology and release processes.
Collaborates and add value through peer-reviewing code, providing comments and suggestions.
Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques.
Performs technical root cause analysis and outline corrective action for given problems.
Estimate levels of effort, evaluate new technology options, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on design aspects.
Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities to develop solutions on time.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in working with SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014 databases
Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Good knowledge of T-SQL including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views and functions
Experience designing indexes and T-SQL performance tuning
Experience with DB2 stored procedure development
Experience in working with SSRS in SharePoint mode
Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014 databases
Minimum of 1 year experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Experience working with DB2 stored procedure development will be a significant advantage
Experience in Microsoft SQL database tuning and administration will be an advantage
Experience in developing solutions for SSRS in SharePoint mode will be an advantage
Requires being mobile and located at different local customer locations
