HEAD OF TRAINING – A RICHARD PIERIS GROUP COMPANY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Heading the Training and Development department and providing direction to junior management and personnel.
Create strategies and oversee the creation of content, e-learning, collateral and other training materials that will impact behavior-changing training using various training theories, on-the-job training systems, tutorials and demonstration models.
The Head of Training & Development is tasked with the creation of testing & evaluation processes relating to the effectiveness of training programswhile also playing a highly collaborative role that leads to solid cross-functional relationships being built with distribution heads, departmental heads and management across the Company.
He/She is also responsible for maintaining knowledge in the Department, keeping it up to date with the latest training practices, trends and technology. The ideal candidate will model best practices in Training & Development activities in order to ensure maintenance of exceptional training programs, which results in exceptional performance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS
A degree or a professional qualification from a recognized local/foreign university, preferably with a Master’s qualification.
A minimum of 10 years working experience in a training and development capacity, preferably working as a Senior Manager/Manager in an Insurance Company. Experience in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage.
Exceptional communication skills for creating training materials and reports intended for senior management training and development.
Ability to identify performance improvement opportunities and gaps, conduct analyses, and develop solutions that will deliver the desired results through training programs.
Have the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate composure under stress and in times of uncertainty.
The ability to develop strong relationships with others and leverage those relationships across the business by influencing the management to take up training programs that ultimately influence the overall performance of the business
